The inescapable humidity broke today. Today's 73 degrees at 8 a.m. is a low for this time of day in the last few weeks, at least. I suspect we had rain overnight, which helped. The stormclouds on the horizon this morning promised either more to come, or that previous rainfall clearing. But the sun's angle through the dark clouds, with more dimness hanging over the closer mountains, is just lovely. I have to reiterate an earlier thought here: sun is more beautiful against a backdrop of darkness.
